Gmail has got a Lab feature that enables you to determine if you are chatting with someone on a computer or someone on an Android device. The Labs feature is called as “Green Robot”, Your friends who chat with you from an Android device will show up as Green Android Robot instead of Green Dot. Although the Labs features are experimental features that aren’t quite ready for primetime, you can still try them.

To enable Green Robot
1. Click the Settings “Gear Icon” on your Gmail on PC and go to “Labs”
2. Enable the “Green Robot” Labs Feature
3. Now whenever your friend chat with you from a Android Device you will come to know
