Ubislate 7C and BSNL Penta TPAD tablets are two low cost Android tablets priced at Rs 3,999 and Rs 3,250 respectively.

When Datawind started to launch its tablet series in December last year, BSNL partnered with Pantel Technologies and launched three BSNL tablets. And among the three tablets manufactured by Pantel, the TPAD IS701R is the low cost version, priced at Rs.3,250. And now the TPAD seems to be closest competitor for Ubislate 7+ and 7C.
There are only two differences between Ubislate 7+ and Ubislate 7C. Ubislate 7+ has a Resistive touchscreen whereas Ubislate 7C has a Capacitive touchscreen and the 2GB internal flash memory in 7+ is upgraded to 4 GB in 7C tablet.While Ubislate 7+ is priced at Rs.2,999, the Ubislate 7C is Priced at Rs. 3,999.

CPU
Ubislate 7C comes with a 800MHz processor whereas TPAD comes with 1GHz processor, so this should make TPAD faster than 7C and 7+
Operating System
Both tablets comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. Its is expected that Ubislate 7C may get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS in future.
RAM
Both tablets has 256 MB RAM and that is not quite satisfactory. A 512 MB Ram would have been lot better to process applications faster and better.
Memory
7C comes with 4GB internal memory whereas the TPAD comes with 2GB internal memory. In both the tablets you have the option to extend the memory upto 32GB using external memory.
Screen Resolution
Ubiaslate 7C has a 800×480 Px Resolution. TPAD has 800×600 Px Resolution but you are advised to confirm the resolution since reviews say it has actually got the same resolution as Ubislate 7C.
Touchscreen Type
The touchscreen type makes the major difference between the two tablets. Capacitive touchscreen offers more smoother and faster response than Resistive touchscreens.
Connectivity
With in-built GSM modem, Ubislate 7+ and 7C can be used as a mobile phone. It supports Voice calls. TPAD doesn’t have in-built GSM modem.
GPRS
Ubislate 7+ and 7C offers in-built GPRS facility using the GSM modem. TPAD doesn’t have GPRS feature.
Wi-Fi
Both tablets has Wi-Fi and you can get connected to faster internet in Wi-Fi hotspots.
Camera
Ubislate 7 doesn’t hae a camera but you can still use a webcam with the camera app. TPAD has a Front Facing VGA 0.3 MP camera that can be accessed through the camera app.
G-Sensor
G-sensor in TPAD facilitates better gaming experience and rotator screen feature.
USB Port
Ubislate has 2 full sized USB 2.0 Ports that facilitates the use of Pen drives, 3G dongles and other USB 2.0 devices. TPAD has 1 Mini USB Port and you can use a “Mini USB to USB connector cable” to get USB Port functionality like Ubislate.

Ubislate 7C is priced at Rs.3,999 while TPAD is priced at Rs.3,250 and With BSNL 3 month free download offer the tablet will come for Rs. 3,499. (Shipping charges based on location)
