So, after some Icecream sandwiches and some Jelly Beans it’s now time for some KitKats.
The upcoming version 4.4 of Android mobile operating system is named as KitKat, yes really that’s the crunchy choco product from Nestle. KitKat has already changed their Google Plus profile photo to announce something sweeter. And a giant statue of Android kitkat has been revealed in the Google Headquarters.
So, was there any deal between these two companies? well, it seem there was no deal but it’s just a mutual goodwill.
Android is the operating system that powers over 1 billion smartphones and tablets. Since these devices make our lives so sweet, each Android version is named after a dessert: Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, and Jelly Bean. As everybody finds it difficult to stay away from chocolate we decided to name the next version of Android after one of our favorite chocolate treats, Kitkat®!
