eBay has announced that its corporate network was hacked, and with a small number of employee login credentials, a database containing encrypted passwords and other non-financial data was compromised. Information like Customer name, Encrypted password, Email address, Physical address, Phone number and Date of birth have been accessed during the cyber-attack.

Fortunately, the company has announced that the hacked database did not contain customer financial information like credit card information, social security, taxpayer identification or national identification information.
The company says it has shut down unauthorized access to the site and have put additional measures in place to enhance security. The company is asking all eBay users to change their passwords. So, its time to act, change your eBay password now.
eBay’s homepage now features a notification asking customers to reset their password.
