Adfly, one of the popular URL shrinking and advertising network has been blocked in India by the Department of Telecommunications. Users trying to access the site are shown a message as follows
“This website/URL has been blocked until further notice either pursuant to Court orders or on the Directions issued by the Department of Telecommunications”
Adf.ly links doesn’t work in India and this move has made a huge blow to bloggers and webmasters using adf.ly for advertising. However, for time-being there is a small work-around
Although http://adf.ly is not working in India, the secure protocol has not been blocked yet. User can still access their adfly account using the https secure protocol
How to access adfly in India after being blocked
Use the secure https://adf.ly link to access your account and change all your adf.ly URL’s to https instead of http
For example
after putting prefix “https://” adf.ly/abcd is not working in crome and firefox.
error:-Server not found
Firefox can’t find the server at adf.ly.

Adfly links in India are working now
Hi Mr.Abilash,
Thanks for the Nice info. As you said , its working when using https instead of http.
But i have a doubt another side. i have shrinked one url and posted in a site. Once i started to click the link, it shows the same dialogue. How can i go through with that and how long it will be like that ?
Can you provide me any other url shrinking service site which pays to indian members ?
